Clara Herrmann (politician)

Clara Herrmann (born March 28, 1985 in Berlin ) is a German politician of the Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen party . She was a member of the Berlin House of Representatives from 2006 to 2016 . Since December 2016, she has been a district councilor in the Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg district .

Life

After graduating from high school in 2004, Herrmann began studying geography as well as economics and business administration at the Humboldt University in Berlin , from which she graduated in 2011 with a degree in geography.

Member of Parliament and District Councilor

Herrmann has been a member of the Berlin House of Representatives (MdA) since his election to the House of Representatives in September 2006. She had in the 2006 elections and 2011 in the constituency of Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg 4 candidate and in 2006 over the square 21, 2011 on the 11th of the party list chosen the party into the state parliament. From 2006 to 2011 she was the youngest member of the House of Representatives. In the 17th electoral term she was a member of the Main Committee and the Committee on the Protection of the Constitution. In the Berlin elections in 2016 , she did not succeed in re-entering the House of Representatives. The district council of Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg elected her in December 2016 as district councilor for finance, environment, culture and further education.

Political party

In 2002 Herrmann became a member of the Green Youth and Alliance 90 / The Greens. From May 2003 to October 2006 she was a member of the state board of the Green Youth Berlin, from January 2004 as spokeswoman. Since June 2005 she has been a member of the Presidium of the Federal Committee of Green Youth. From February 2005 to March 2007 Herrmann was also a member of the extended regional executive committee of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen Berlin.
