Clarence Milton Bolds

Clarence Milton Bolds (born August 25, 1903 in Moundsville , West Virginia , † 1958 ) was an American engineer and employee representative who headed the executive branch in the Bavarian part of the US zone from December 14, 1947 to July 15, 1950 .

Life

Clarence Milton Bolds was the son of Lillian Pine and Otto Bolds. From 1923 to 1928 he was a partner in the real estate agency Collins, Bolds & Collings . From 1918 to 1929 he was occasionally employed as a semi-skilled worker, in 1929 as a foreman and from 1930 to 1939 as an area foreman at Deleo-Remy in Anderson (Indiana) .

From 1939 to 1942 he completed an evening course and was a cost calculator and production engineer at Kelsey-Hayes , a tire manufacturer in Detroit . From 1942 to 1943 he was an employee representative on the War Production Board . From September to October 1943 he attended the Profos Fort Custer Training Center . From October to December 1943 he attended the Civil Affairs Training School at Boston University . From May 1945 he was Colonel and Labor Officer of Detachment FIF3 in the McGraw barracks , then he headed the department for labor issues at the Regional Military Government (RMG) under George S. Patton ; from October 1945 he became head of department. In June 1946 he was promoted to major and headed the dependent employees department at the Office of Military Government, Bavaria .

From December 14, 1947 to October 15, 1949 he was Deputy State Director of the Military Government for Bavaria; as such, he opened the International Crafts Fair on July 15, 1949 .

From October 16, 1949 to March 14, 1950 he was the acting state commissioner for Bavaria. From April 16, 1950 to July 15, 1950 he was State Commissioner for Bavaria. From July 16, 1950 to September 25, 1950 he was special advisor to the Allied High Commission . He was then transferred to the United States.
