Clarence Saunders

Clarence Saunders ( Clarence Nicholas "Nick" Saunders ; born September 14, 1963 in Paget Parish ) is a former high jumper from Bermuda .

In 1982 he won bronze at the Commonwealth Games in Brisbane . At the World Athletics Championships in Helsinki in 1983 and at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, he was eliminated from the qualification. In 1987 he was fifth at the Pan American Games in Indianapolis and at the World Cup in Rome . He also finished fifth at the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul.

He celebrated his greatest success in 1990 when he won the Commonwealth Games in Auckland . In 1991 he finished eighth at the Pan American Games in Havana .

He won further medals at international sporting events at the Central America and Caribbean Championships (silver 1981 and 1983, bronze 1985, gold 1987), at the Central America and Caribbean Games (bronze 1982) and at the Universiade (bronze 1983).
