Claude Lefèbvre (painter)
Claude Lefèbvre (* 1633 in Fontainebleau , † April 25, 1675 in Paris ) was a French painter.
Live and act
Lefèbvre studied with Eustache Le Sueur (1617–1655) and Charles Le Brun (1619–1690) in Fontainebleau . He was soon able to establish himself as the leading portrait painter of his time and in 1663 became a member of the Académie royale de peinture et de sculpture . During a visit to London a few years later, he was able to portray Charles II of England .
François de Troy is one of his students .
