Claudia Gallus

Claudia Gallus (born December 30, 1970 in Freital ) is a German actress and film editor . She was best known through her mother Jutta Gallus . As a child she played the role of Birgit in the series Stories about the Garden Fence .

Life

Her mother Jutta Gallus attempted to flee to the West with her partner and her daughters in August 1982 without the consent of the children's biological father. Therefore, after they were arrested during a failed escape attempt, custody of the children was transferred to the father. The children were not forcibly adopted by a foster family loyal to the regime, as depicted in the film Die Frau vom Checkpoint Charlie , but lived with their biological father, a socialist loyal to the line, in Dresden .
