Claudia Toman
Claudia Toman (* 1978 in Vienna ) is an Austrian author , librettist and director who also publishes works under the pseudonym Anna Koschka .
Life
After graduating from school, Toman studied journalism and theater studies and worked as a director , assistant director and stage manager in Vienna, Tokyo ( New National Theater ) and Tel Aviv ( Israel Philharmonic Orchestra ). From 2001 to 2012 she supervised the performances of the children's opera at the Vienna State Opera . She has been working as a children's guide at Schönbrunn Palace since 2012 . In 2009 her debut novel Hexendreimaldrei , a modern fairy tale with elements from urban fantasy and chic , was published by Diana Verlag, the second novel Jagdzeit followed in April 2010. The trilogy about the writer Olivia Kenning , which was published in 2011, is concluded with Goldprinz . She also wrote two opera libretti in collaboration with the composer Paul Hertel and a children's music theater piece with the conductor Janko Kastelic , which was performed on the stage of the Vienna State Opera in 2006 as part of the opera school matinee. Her novel Naschmarkt was published under the pseudonym Anna Koschka in 2012 and Mohnschnecke in 2013 . Claudia Toman lives in Vienna .
In 2009 she came third with Hexendreimaldrei at the LovelyBooks Readers Award in the romance category. Naschmarkt was nominated for the DeLiA 2013 Literature Prize and won the Lovely Cover 2013 audience award .
