Claudia van Laak

Claudia van Laak (* 1963 in Münsterland ) is a German radio journalist and head of the Berlin state studio of Deutschlandfunk , for which she is also the state correspondent for Berlin and moderator on Deutschlandfunk Kultur .

Life

She studied German , journalism , business administration and Spanish in Bamberg and Barcelona. In freelancer she worked for the Bayerischer Rundfunk and Radio Z operates. This was followed by a permanent position as an editor at Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk in June 1990 , until she switched to Deutschlandradio (Deutschlandfunk, Deutschlandfunk Kultur and Deutschlandfunk Nova) in 1996 as a state correspondent in Thuringia, then Brandenburg and, since 2009, in Berlin, where she became head of the Deutschlandradio state studio.

Since 2004, she has co-authored over 40 programs for the daily magazine Background on Deutschlandfunk on political and social issues. It appears almost several times a week in the program Campus & Karriere .

Awards

  • 2002: Special prize of the Central German Journalist Prize for their report "Radiant Heritage - Ten years ago the renovation of Wismut began"
  • 2009: Nomination for the German-Polish Journalism Prize for "Guben, Gubin and the Neisse - an open border for half a year"
