Claudio Strebel (born July 25, 1976 in Muri ) is a Swiss double bass player.

Live and act

First double bass lessons at the age of 13. Strebel played in various youth string orchestras and began to be interested in jazz early on. Later he played the electric bass in the punk rock band “Lebenswert?”. In 2004 he completed his studies at the Hochschule Musik in Lucerne (jazz) with Heiri Känzig . This was followed by several years of work with the Ticino songwriter Marco Zappa , with Country Rocker Coal, Heidi Happy and Corin Curschellas . He was also involved in a number of theater projects and performances with acrobats. For many years he has played with Albin Brun (new folk music & jazz), Swing de Paris (gypsy jazz) and with Count Gabba (country noir). He also has his own trio The Knocked Out Rhythms (Rockabilly). Performances all over Europe from Sweden to Spain, Russia, Turkey, Qatar, Kyrgyzstan, South Korea and the USA. Strebel has now recorded over 30 sound carriers in the studio. Strebel lives with his family in Lucerne and works as a language teacher.
