Claudius Gebele is a German film producer and creative producer .

Life

Claudius Gebele studied sports economics at the University of Bayreuth and graduated in 2003 with a European Masters. After completing his studies, Gebele began his professional career at an advertising agency in Amsterdam in strategic planning and went freelance in 2004 as a creative producer and consultant . Since then he has worked as a freelancer for advertising and design agencies as well as pan-European production companies. Furthermore, since 2005 he has been chairman of the art foundation Cool Clean Conscious Concepts.

Professional career

He organized and produced numerous music videos for artists such as Anouk and Roger Sanchez and video clips . From 2009 he started the production of the short film The Monster Of Nix (30 min, Netherlands, France, Belgium, 2012) together with the Dutch director and graphic novelist Rosto . The film premiered in June 2011 at the Festival d'Animation d'Annecy and won numerous awards and nominations. The prices include a. the Best Animation Award at the Film Festival in Badalona (ESP), Best Original Score at the Festival du Court-Métrage de Clermont-Ferrand (FR), the Public Prize Best Short Film at the Utopiales Film Festival (FR) and at the CMS Childrens Film Festival in Lucknow (IND). The film was nominated u. a. for the Dutch film award The Golden Calf in Utrecht and was on the shortlist for the Cézar 2013. Furthermore, the work was submitted by the Dutch film institute for the Oscars 2011, but was not nominated.

The subsequent creative production for Rosto under the title Lonely Bones (10 min, France, 2013) premiered at the International Film Festival Rotterdam and won a. a. the award for the best music at the Festival d'Animation d'Annecy and the Grand Prix at the International Animated Film Festival in Ottawa.

mikosa magazine - urban art

In 2005, Gebele started the project mikosa together with Marco Galmacci and Rocco Pezzella . The main component of the initiative was the magazine of the same name, which was printed annually in a limited edition of 250 and then individually designed by hand by artists. The magazine was distributed in 40 galleries in Europe and while a new magazine was being published it was always accompanied by exhibitions of the artists involved in selected galleries. The largest event at the time of the publication of a new magazine is the design of a more than 300 square meter mural in the center of Amsterdam. The mikosa magazine came to an end in 2012 with the publication of a book with the works of all participating artists.

mebike - the dream bike

Together with the American artist Abner Preis, Gebele initiated the event series mebike - the Dream Bike experience in 2006 . He is responsible for the production of the annual events and works as a co-curator. In 2009 the Paradiso club in Amsterdam (NL) was converted into a BMX skate landscape with athletes, live bands and a skate course based on Marcel Duchamp's works of art. a. the bicycle wheel . The following year, the multimedia association Mediamatic hosted the first 'World Championship of Dream Bicycles', a three-day event with 40 artists and 10 specially built dream bikes. The mebike collection includes a. the works of Will Barras (USA), Eric Staller (US) with his Conference Bike , Imtek (NL), Büffel (GER), Hanazuki (NL), G. (FR), Sjocosjon (NL) and Conor Cronin (US) as well as the work of the artist collectives Whystyle (IT), Het Kattenbak (NL), No New Enemies (BE) and Noordkap (NL).
