Claus-Arwed Lauprecht

Claus-Arwed Lauprecht (born April 18, 1963 ) is a German basketball official and referee.

Life

Lauprecht, who studied medicine, sports and tourism management in Innsbruck and Düsseldorf , practiced basketball and soccer and coached teams.

Professionally, he worked in the health sector, he completed training to become a sauna master, health trainer, nutritionist, specialist sports teacher and fitness trainer. He planned and managed health centers, including from 1996 in Frankfurt am Main and from 1998 near Heilbronn . In 2000 he took up the position of managing director of the European Wellness Institute GmbH, from 2002 he managed the business of a company which, among other things, created health concepts for companies. Between 2002 and 2013, Lauprecht was chairman of the International Spa and Wellness Association. He also worked as a lecturer, lecturer, expert and consultant in the field of health and health maintenance.

As a referee, Lauprecht was in charge of Bundesliga basketball games for many years until 2013, and from 2013 onwards he was entrusted with the supervision of Bundesliga games as a technical inspector. From 2013 to 2020 he was a member of the supervisory board of DBBL GmbH, the operator of the women's basketball league . He was a board member of the interest group of basketball Bundesligaschererichter e. V. In September 2013 he was appointed chairman of the Offenbacher Fußball Club Kickers 1901 e. V. elected, in November 2015 he left office. His presidency was marked by the insolvency of Offenbacher Fußball GmbH, which was filed a few months before he took office.

At the end of January 2020, Lauprecht became managing director of DBBL GmbH.
