Claus Gerloff

Claus Gerloff (born December 1, 1939 in Rostock ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Gerloff did his Abitur at the large city school in Rostock and was then an intern at the Deutsche Reichsbahn . He studied at the "Friedrich List" traffic college in Dresden and then worked as a site manager for the Deutsche Reichsbahn in the Rostock area. In 1968 he took over responsibility for the preparation and implementation of traffic structures at Schwerin local transport. In 1990 he became head of the department for energy, traffic and communications at the Schwerin district administration .

Gerloff became a member of the SPD in 1989, where he was chairman of the Parchim district association . From 1990 to 2002 he was a member of the state parliament of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania , where he was parliamentary manager, deputy chairman of the SPD parliamentary group and deputy chairman of the economic committee.
