Claus Reichel (* 1986 in Friedberg ) is a German film producer .

Career

Reichel attended the Rudolf-Diesel-Gymnasium Augsburg , where he graduated from high school in 2006. Already during his school days he was involved in school theater. Reichel then studied regional studies in Latin America / social sciences at the University of Cologne. He was also active at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne .

His first film Oray by Mehmet Akif Büyükatalay , produced together with Bastian Klügel, celebrated its world premiere on February 11, 2019 at the 69th Berlinale in the Perspective German Cinema section , where it was awarded the "Best First Feature Award".

With Bastian Klügel and Mehmet Akif Büyükatalay he founded the filmfaust GbR in Cologne in 2017, in 2020 he founded the filmfaust GmbH with Selina Orthaus and Mehmet Akif Büyükatalay.
