Mehmet Akif Büyükatalay

Mehmet Akif Büyükatalay (born May 25, 1987 in Bad Hersfeld ) is a German-Turkish film director and screenwriter . He is a founding member of the film production company "filmfaust".

Live and act

Mehmet Akif Büyükatalay grew up in Hagen. After graduating from high school at Rahel-Varnhagen-Kolleg Hagen, studied media arts at the Cologne Academy of Media Arts and graduated with the drama Oray . He was a scholarship holder of the German National Academic Foundation . The film celebrated its world premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival in 2019 and was awarded the “Best First Feature Award”.
