The Gmina Gorzów Śląski [ ˈgɔʒuf ˈɕlõsci ] is an urban-and-rural municipality in the powiat Oleski of the Opole Voivodeship in Poland . Its seat is the city ​​of the same name ( German Landsberg OS ) with 2460 inhabitants (2016).

geography

The municipality is located in the far north of the Opole Voivodeship and borders the Łódź Voivodeship . The district town of Olesno is fifteen kilometers away and the voivodeship capital of Opole is about 60 kilometers away. Gorzów Śląski is located in the northwestern part of Upper Silesia in the Kreuzburger Land. The region originally belonged to Lower Silesia . One of the waters is the Prosna , a tributary of the Warta .

The municipality is connected to the national road network by Droga krajowa 45 (DK 45) and Droga wojewódzka 487 (DW 487).
