The powiat Oleski is a powiat (district) in the Opole Voivodeship in Poland with the district town of Olesno (Rosenberg OS) . The powiat has an area of ​​973.62 km², on which around 65,100 inhabitants live.

geography

The powiat is located in the northeast of the Opole Voivodeship. Neighboring powers are in the north Wieluń in the Łódź Voivodeship , in the east Kłobuck and Lubliniec (both Silesian Voivodeship ), in the south Strzelce Opolskie and in the west Opole and Kluczbork .

Historically, the area is part of Upper Silesia with the exception of the municipalities of Praszka and Rudniki .
