The powiat Krapkowicki is a powiat ( district ) in the Polish Opole Voivodeship with the district town of Krapkowice (Krappitz) . The powiat has an area of 442.35 km², on which around 67,000 people live.
geography
The powiat is centrally located in the Opole Voivodeship and is part of the historical region of Upper Silesia . Neighboring powiate are in the north Opole , in the east Strzelce Opolskie (Groß Strehlitz) , in the south Kędzierzyn-Koźle (Kandrzin-Cosel) and in the south and west Prudnik (Neustadt OS) .

The powiat comprises five municipalities, including three urban and rural municipalities , whose main towns of the same name have municipal rights, and two rural municipalities.

The municipalities of Klein Strehlitz and Walzen have been officially bilingual since 2006 by virtue of a municipal council resolution, as the German population in these municipalities is over 20%.

The district council consists of 19 members who are elected by the population. The 2018 elections brought the following results:

- Election Committee German Minority 33.6% of the vote, 7 seats
- Electoral Committee "Citizens' Union of Voters" 12.7%, 2 seats
- Prawo i Sprawiedliwość (PiS) 9.6% of the vote, 1 seats
- Election committee “Together for the citizens” 7.7% of the vote, no seat
