Opole Voivodeship (1975–1998)
The Opole Voivodeship (German also Voivodeship Oppeln , Polish województwo opolskie ) from 1975 to 1998 was one of then 49 Polish voivodships , which was expanded to surrounding areas under the same name as part of an administrative reform in 1999 .
Even then, its capital was the eponymous city of Opole .
