Szczecin Voivodeship (1975–1998)
The Szczecin Voivodeship ( województwo szczecińskie ) from 1975 to 1998 was one of 49 Polish voivodeships that became part of today's West Pomeranian Voivodeship in 1999 as part of an administrative reform . It covered an area of 10,000 km², on which around 972,000 inhabitants lived in 51 municipalities. Its capital was the eponymous Stettin ( Szczecin ).
