The community Guttentag (Polish Gmina Dobrodzień ) is an urban-and-rural municipality in powiat Oleski in the Opole Voivodeship . The parish seat is Guttentag . The community is bilingual in Polish and German.
geography
The municipality has an area of 162.84 km², 45% of which is agricultural land and 47% is forest. The parish occupies 16.73% of the area of the powiat.

population
In 2002 the community had 11,045 inhabitants. In addition to the Polish population, in the 2002 census, 2,796 people (25.3%) stated German nationality (ethnicity) and 710 people stated Silesian (6.4%). 1949 people (with Polish citizenship) or 17.65% spoke German in their private lives. In the 2011 census, with a total population of 10,110 people, the percentage of Germans was 18.5% or 1867 people.

politics
mayor
The mayor is at the head of the municipal administration . Since 2006 this has been Róża Koźlik from the German minority. The regular election in October 2018 brought the following result:
- Andrzej Jasiński (Election Committee “New Dobrodzień”) 63.0% of the vote
- Róża Koźlik ( German Minority Election Committee ) 37.0% of the vote
Jasiński was thus elected as the new mayor in the first ballot.
City council
The city council consists of 15 members and is directly elected in single-person constituencies. The 2018 city council election led to the following result:
- Election Committee “New Dobrodzień” 55.1% of the vote, 13 seats
- German minority election committee 32.1% of the votes, 1 seat
- Election Committee of Silesian Citizens 6.4% of the vote, no seat
- Election Committee Joachim Wloczyk 6.3%, one seat
