Ellguth-Guttentag , in Polish Ligota Dobrodzieńska , is a town in Upper Silesia . Ellguth-Guttentag is located in the municipality of Guttentag in the powiat Oleski in the Polish Voivodeship of Opole .

Ellguth-Guttentag is four kilometers west of the Guttentag municipality , 16 kilometers south of the district town of Olesno (Rosenberg OS) and 34 kilometers east of the voivodeship capital Opole .

history

In the Liber fundationis episcopatus Vratislaviensis of 1295 the place is mentioned as "Elgotha ​​Nmognemi". In 1783, Ellguth-Guttentag, then written as Ellgut, had 164 residents, a farm, a mill and a fresh fire. A Herr von Stürmer is mentioned as the owner. In addition, the place had 21 farmers and seven gardeners. In 1865 the place had 18 farmers, three free farmers, eight outdoor gardeners and 21 cottagers. There is also mention of a 70 year old school in town with 170 school children.

In the referendum in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921, 144 eligible voters voted to remain with Germany and 143 for Poland. Ellguth-Guttentag remained with the German Empire . In 1933 there were 741 inhabitants. In 1939 the place had 884 inhabitants. Until 1945 the place was in the district of Loben (meanwhile in the district of Guttentag).

In 1945 the previously German place came under Polish administration and was incorporated into the Silesian Voivodeship. On March 15, 1947 the place was renamed Ligota Dobrodzieńska . In 1950 the place came to the Opole Voivodeship . From 1975 to 1998 the place was in the Czestochowa Voivodeship . In 1999 the place came to the Opole Voivodeship and Powiat Oleski . On July 4, 2008, the place was also given the official German place name Ellguth-Guttentag . On May 13, 2009, German was introduced as the second official language in the community of Guttentag, which Ellguth-Guttentag belongs to.
