Rzendowitz (1936–1945 Mühlental , Polish: Rzędowice ) is a village in Upper Silesia ( Poland ). It is located in the municipality (Gmina) Guttentag (Polish: Dobrodzień ) in the powiat Oleski in the Opole Voivodeship .

history

The place was mentioned in 1783 in the book Entries describing Silesia as Rzendowi (t) z , belonged to a Herr von Stürmer and was in the Lublinitz rule and had 138 inhabitants, a manorial farm, 15 farmers, 15 gardeners and two cottagers. In 1865, Rzendowitz had 13 farm positions, two half-farmers, 18 gardener positions and twelve cottagers positions, as well as two water mills and a Catholic school, which was built in 1844. In addition to farming, the inhabitants lived on daily wages in the nearby pits and huts.

In the referendum in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921, 110 people eligible to vote voted for Upper Silesia to remain with Germany and 140 for membership in Poland. After the division of Upper Silesia, Rzendowitz remained with the German Empire . Until 1945 the place was in the district of Loben (meanwhile in the district of Guttentag ).

In 1945 the formerly German town came under Polish administration and was then joined to the Silesian Voivodeship and renamed the Polish Rzędowice . In 1950 the place came to the Opole Voivodeship . From 1975 to 1998 the place was in the Voivodeship Częstochowa (Czestochowa). In 1999 the place came to the Opole Voivodeship and the re-established Powiat Oleski . On July 4, 2008, the place was also given the official German place name Rzendowitz .
