Bzinitz (Polish Bzinica Stara ) is a village in Upper Silesia . Bzinitz is located in the municipality of Guttentag in the powiat Oleski in the Polish Opole Voivodeship .

Bzinitz is five kilometers south of the Guttentag municipality , 21 kilometers south of the district town of Olesno (Rosenberg OS) and 38 kilometers east of the voivodeship capital Opole .

history

In the referendum in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921, 154 eligible voters voted to remain with Germany and 112 for Poland. Bzinitz remained with the German Empire . In 1933 there were 472 inhabitants. On July 22, 1936, the place was renamed Erzweiler (Upper Silesia) . In 1939 the place had 504 inhabitants. Until 1945 the place was in the district of Loben (meanwhile in the district of Guttentag).

In 1945 the previously German place came under Polish administration and was renamed Stara Bzinica and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950 the place came to the Opole Voivodeship . From 1975 to 1998 the place was in the Czestochowa Voivodeship . In 1999 the place came to the Opole Voivodeship and Powiat Oleski . In 2007 the place was renamed Bzinica Stara . On July 4, 2008, the place was also given the official German place name Bzinitz .
