Clemens Bieber (singer)

Clemens Bieber (born January 26, 1956 in Würzburg ) is a German opera singer ( tenor ).

Life

Clemens Bieber completed his vocal studies at the University of Music in Würzburg with Adalbert Kraus and Horst Laubenthal , further studies led him to Hermann Winkler .

From 1986 to 1988 he was engaged as a lyric tenor at the Saarland State Theater in Saarbrücken , and since 1988 he has been engaged at the Deutsche Oper Berlin .

From 1987 to 1995 and from 2001 he sang as a soloist at the Bayreuth Festival .

In 2010 he was appointed Berliner Kammersänger .

Clemens Bieber also works as a concert singer. His repertoire includes the main works by Bach, Handel, Beethoven, Haydn, Mozart, Mendelssohn and Verdi.
