Clemens Scholten
Clemens Scholten (* 1955 ) is a German Catholic church historian .
Life
The great contemporary authority over the works of the Christian Alexandrian philosopher Johannes Philoponos from the 6th century teaches ancient church history and patrology at the University of Cologne . Earlier publications were devoted to Nag Hammadi and the Alexandrian Catechetical School. Scholten recently published a work by Theodoret .
