Clemens Zeller (born July 2, 1984 in Krems an der Donau ) is an Austrian runner and student at the Kirchlich Pädagogische Hochschule Wien / Krems .

Athletic career

In his European Championship debut, he was sixth over 400 meters and was the best-placed Austrian in the ÖLV at the 2007 European Indoor Championships.

At the Austrian Top4 Meeting in Villach on June 16, 2007 Zeller qualified for the World Championships in Osaka . He ran over 400 meters in 45.83 s and remained twelve hundredths of a second below the world championship norm of 45.95 s. Zeller is the second Austrian to stay under 46 seconds over the stadium lap.

On January 24, 2009 he qualified again for the European Indoor Championships over 400 meters in 46.74 s. There he missed the bronze medal on March 7, 2009 with his time of 46.62 s by only 8 hundredths of a second and came in fourth.

On June 3, 2010, at the Liese-Prokop-Memorial in St. Pölten, Zeller improved the Austrian record of Christoph Pöstinger over the 400 meters with 45.69 s , which he had run in 1997 in 45.80 s.

At the 2010 European Championships in Barcelona , he had to give up in the run-up to over 400 meters due to injury and was eliminated.
