Clive John
Clive John (actually Clive John Hambley ; * around 1945; † August 24, 2011 in Swansea ) was a Welsh rock singer , keyboarder and guitarist of the genres blues rock and progressive rock , best known as a member of the band Man in the 1970s has become.
John had already been a member of the Bystanders in the mid-1960s when he co-founded Man in 1969. He played on the band's first six albums until he dropped out in 1972. In 1975 his only solo album appeared on the record label United Artists Records , a subsidiary of United Artists . It was titled You Always Know Where You Stand with a Buzzard and incorporated a variety of rock genres, including influences from Man, Frank Zappa , Grateful Dead, and Quicksilver Messenger Service . John wrote all of the songs himself.
John died in August 2011 due to emphysema .
