The Cloch a 'phoill (also Aghade , Cloghaphoill or Cloch to phoill - German  "stone of the hole" ) is a perforated block of granite with a circular hole. The signposted stone is in Aghade, about three 3.5 km south of Tullow in County Carlow , Ireland on the east side of the N81 (road).

It is assumed that the Lochstein, as well as the Heidenstein from Niederschwörstadt in Baden-Württemberg , belong to a dismantled Neolithic megalithic complex and the recess functioned as a soul hole . The size and shape of the limestone slab (about 2.4 × 1.55 × 0.45 m) justify this.

The hole is about 30 cm in diameter and in the 18th century sick children were pulled through the hole to heal. According to legend, the stone is associated with the Irish King Níall Noígíallach ("Niall of the Nine Hostages") and is a national monument.

About 2.0 km to the northeast are the menhirs of Ardristan .
