The Clowes Bay is a 1.5 km wide bay in the south of Signy Iceland in the archipelago of the South Orkney Islands . It lies between Confusion Island and the Oliphant Islands .
Participants in the British Discovery Investigations carried out a map in 1933. They named the bay after the British oceanographer Archibald John Clowes (1900-1960), who was a member of the Discovery Investigations Committee from 1924 to 1946.
