Clyde M. Narramore

Clyde Maurice Narramore (born November 25, 1916 in Palo Verde , Arizona , † July 27, 2015 in Pasadena , California ) was an American psychologist and the founder of the Narramore Christian Foundation .

Life

Narramore studied psychology and received his PhD from Columbia University . He is considered to be one of the first psychologists with a Christian character who received widespread attention. Narramore is the author of numerous books. He was the founder of his own radio show, which  became popular in the 1950s under the name Psychology for Living . He gave up a job at the Los Angeles County public schools in 1958 in favor of founding the Narramore Christian Foundation named after him , whose work he then devoted himself to. In 1970 he founded the Rosemead Graduate School of Psychology , which in 1977 became part of Biola University , a private Christian college.
