The Codex Nanianus ( Gregory-Aland no. U or 030 ; von Soden ε 90) is a Greek manuscript of the New Testament that is dated to the 9th century. The handwriting is complete.

description

The manuscript consists of the four Gospels on 291 sheets of parchment (22.5 × 16.7 cm).

The text is in two columns with 21 lines. The manuscript contains Epistula ad Carpianum , Eusebian tables, tables of the κεφαλαια, τιτλοι, κεφαλαια, images, and signatures. Spiritus asper , Spiritus lenis and Akzente are there. Parchment is fine, the ink is brown.

The Greek text of the Codex represents the Byzantine text type and is assigned to Category V.

history

The name of the code comes after its last owner Giovanni Nanni (1432–1502).

The codex is kept in the Biblioteca Marciana (1397 (1, 8)) in Venice .
