The Codex Vaticanus Graecus 2066 ( Gregory-Aland no. 046; von Soden α 2070) is a Greek manuscript of the New Testament , which is dated to the 10th century. Formerly Codex Basilianus .

description

The manuscript includes almost the entire Revelation of John on 20 sheets of parchment. It has a format of 27.5 × 19 cm. The text is in columns with one column with 35 lines, and about 36 letters per line. The letters lean to the right. The parchment is thick, the ink black-brown. Spiritus asper , Spiritus lenis , and accents from first hand.

The manuscript also contains writings by Basil the Great , Gregory of Nyssa , and other Church Fathers.

The Greek text of the Codex represents the Byzantine text type . It is assigned to category V. There are similarities to the minuscule 61 and the minuscule 69 .

The codex is kept in the Vatican Apostolic Library (Gr. 2066) in Rome .
