Cody Austin Deal (born February 14, 1986 in Norman ) is an American television and film actor. He became known for his role as Thor in the 2011 film Thor - The Almighty . In addition to his acting career, Deal also works as a model.

biography

Deal was born in Norman, Oklahoma and raised in Sedan . He is the son of Diane Boulanger. Deal has a twin brother named Kyle. His older brother Lucas is from a previous marriage. Deal is a member of the Osage tribal group .

Deal played football while in school and was named team captain several times. After finishing school, he wanted to become a professional footballer. However, he suffered injuries to his hand and forearm in two games, so that he gave up the dream of being a professional player. Deal graduated from Sedan High School in 2004 and moved to Las Vegas three years later at the age of 21. There he began a career as a model.

Deal played his first role as Centurion in the comedy Laffapalooza! in 2008. He then appeared as Roman Soldier opposite Bradley Cooper in the comedy film Hangover . In the comedy Men's Trip , Deal starred alongside Russell Brand and Jonah Hill as a bouncer at a strip club. In 2012 he played a minor role in three episodes of the television series The Girl's Guide to Depravity . Deal made his film debut in 2011 in the fantasy film Thor - The Almighty , in which he embodies the Norse god Thor . In 2016 Deal played a supporting role in Deadly Pickup and The Adventures of Avery & Pete .
