Colbert Ó Cearnaigh
Colbert Ó Cearnaigh , (* 1945 in Dublin ) is an Irish author.
Life
He was born the son of a master painter. From 1963 to 1968 he studied English at University College Dublin . He completed his studies with a Master of Arts . From 1968 to 1971 he was at King's College , Cambridge, where he received his doctorate. phil. This was followed by a position as a lecturer at University College Cork in the English department. Since 1977 he has been a professor of English literature there.
He writes poetry and short stories in both Irish and English and has published in newspapers and magazines. He usually publishes under his English pseudonym Colbert Kearney .
