Comarca de Logroño
The Comarca de Logroño is a regional comarca within the autonomous region of La Rioja in the sub-region of Rioja Media, in the Ebro Valley, in Spain.
There are 32 municipalities in the Comarca de Logroño. The total area of the comarca is 861.18 km², it had a population of 192,756 people in 2009, of which the capital Logroño alone has around 150,000 inhabitants. The average altitude is 536.3 meters.
history
The archaeological artifacts and structural remains document an early Celtiberian and Roman settlement of the region. The finds from the time of the Celtiberians are from the 2nd century BC. Dated. The Roman finds of the settlements date from the time of Leovigild, who was king of the Visigoths in Spain from 569 to 586.
