The Comer Range is a 5 km long and up to 600 m high mountain range on Wiencke Island in the Palmer Archipelago off the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises in a southwest-northeast orientation west of the Harbor Glacier . These mountains include Jabet Peak in the south and Noble Peak, towering in the north .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the mountain range on July 17, 2007 after the American entrepreneur and philanthropist Gary Campbell Comer (1927-2006), founder of the textile retail company Lands' End , who had campaigned for global warming .
