Comic Con Experience

Comic Con Experience (also known as CCXP ) is a Brazilian entertainment festival featuring comics, TV series, films, video games, and literature.

The CCXP is organized by Omelete. The ComicCon Experience in São Paulo with 262,000 visitors (2018) is one of the largest comic conventions worldwide.

history

The first edition of the CCXP took place in December 2014 in São Paulo. Even the first edition was visited by an estimated 100,000 people and recorded 80 exhibitors. Guest actors were Jason Momoa from Game of Thrones and Sean Astin from The Goonies and Lord of the Rings .

While the editions of the event have always taken place at the beginning of December on the grounds of the São Paulo Expo Exhibition & Convention Center (São Paulo Expo for short), an event of the same name took place in April 2017 in the Centro de Convenções de Pernambuco in Olinda .

In 2018, 262,000 visitors came to the CCXP in São Paulo. Guests included Sandra Bullock , Jake Gyllenhaal , Zachary Levi , Tom Holland , Brie Larson , Ellen Page , Michael B. Jordan and Sebastian Stan .

CCXP Cologne

In 2019, a European spin-off of the successful Brazilian concept was carried out for the first time together with Koelnmesse GmbH . The Role Play Convention was integrated into the new fair, and the CCXP Cologne - Comic Con Experience took place for the first time from June 27th to 30th, 2019 at the Cologne location with 40,000 participants (i.e. visitors, exhibitors and guests).

The next CCXP Cologne was announced for June 26-28, 2020. However, it was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic . The next CCXP Cologne will therefore only take place from June 25 to 27, 2021.
