Conco ( Cimbrian kunken ) is a fraction of the northeast Italian municipality ( comune ) Lusiana Conco in the province of Vicenza in Veneto .
geography
The place is located about 30 kilometers north-northeast of Vicenza on the plateau of the seven municipalities of a Cimbrian-language island. The place name comes from the Old High German "Kunke" (= yoke, pass), which in turn goes back to the Latin "Concha".
history
Conco was an independent municipality until February 20, 2019 and has since formed the municipality of Lusiana Conco with the also dissolved municipality of Lusiana . The five fractions still belonged to the former municipality : Fontanelle, Gomarolo, Rubbio, Santa Caterina and Tortima.
