Conforama is a French furniture retail group that has been part of the Steinhoff Group since 2011 . In 2019, the Conforama Group operated 290 furniture stores in France, Spain, Switzerland, Italy, Portugal, Croatia, Serbia and Luxembourg and achieved a turnover of 3 billion euros across Europe. In connection with the financial difficulties of the entire Steinhoff Group, Conforama also had to initiate restructuring measures. In September 2019 it was announced that Conforama would have to close 32 branches in France. Around 1900 jobs would be cut as a result.

In September 2016, Conforama and the retailer Groupe Casino announced the creation of a joint purchasing cooperation. In the medium term, this should save around 30 million euros annually. Conforama has been the official title sponsor of the French Ligue 1 since the 2017/18 season . From 2020 the food delivery service Uber Eats of the US-American transport service provider Uber will take over this position.

On July 8, 2020, XXXLutz took over the French furniture retail chain Conforama through its French subsidiary But . But only the Conforama branches in France. With sales of over 2 billion euros and 162 furniture stores, Conforama France is number 2 in the French furniture market, but number 3.
