Conny summer

Konrad "Conny" Sommer (* 1963 in Hamburg ) is a German musician, teacher, lecturer and author. He plays the cajón .

Life

Conny Sommer started playing drums at the age of nine. At the age of 16 he found his way to percussion. He later studied musicology in Hamburg.

He is a member of the group Matamá, played on Radio Tarifa as a guest and as a sideman with several bands of the flamenco scene. In other areas of music he was a. a. Active with the NDR Big Band , Dieter Thomas Kuhn , Fehlfarben , Disco Boys , as well as in the musical “ Der König der Löwen ”. He regularly gives his own concerts. In the summer of 2010 he played with Rolando Villazón on his European tour.

Conny Sommer also worked as a lecturer at the Hamburg University of Music , the Lola Rogge School for Dance and Dance Gymnastics in Hamburg, at the Institute for Teacher Training in Hamburg and in the Working Group for School Music, Hamburg. The musician lives in Leipzig.
