Conrad Eckhard

Conrad Eckhard (born March 1, 1822 in Homberg (Efze) , † April 28, 1905 in Gießen ) was a German physiologist . For many years he was a professor of anatomy and physiology at the University of Giessen and occasionally published with Sigmund Exner . His students included Hermann Welcker (1822–1897) and Ferdinand Adolf Kehrer (1837–1914). In 1883 Eckhard was elected a member of the Leopoldina .
