Consonno is a fraction of the Italian city of Olginate in the province of Lecco .
The first mention of the place comes from the year 1085. In 1962 the family of the entrepreneur Mario Bagno bought all shares of the company Real Consonno Brianza for 22.5 million Italian lire , which made the family the owners. All the buildings were completely demolished, with the exception of San Maurizio consecrated church , rectory, an adjacent house and the small cemetery. All residents had to leave the city. An amusement city should be built in the place, similar to the city of Las Vegas in the USA . After a few landslides on the access road, the place was quickly forgotten. Today the entire place no longer has any inhabitants and is therefore referred to as a ghost town . Consonno is for sale (as of 2014) for around 12 million euros.
