Constâncio Deschamps Cavalcanti (born November 1, 1872 , † December 7, 1957 ) was a Brazilian major general .

Life

Bittencourt completed an officer training in the army (Exército Brasileiro) of the armed forces (Forças Armadas do Brasil) and subsequently found various posts as an officer and staff officer. As the successor to Brigadier General Gil Antônio Dias de Almeida , he became commandant of the Realengo Military School (Escola Militar do Realengo) on May 5, 1928 and held this post until November 12, 1930, when Brigadier General José Vitoriano Aranha da Silva became his successor. Between 1930 and 1932 he himself took on the role of head of the military personnel department in the Federal District do Brasil in Rio de Janeiro and was then commander of the 4th military region from 1933 to 1934 (4th Região Militar) . Subsequently he was from 1935 to 1936 General Inspector of the 2nd Group of the Military Regions and in 1937 General Inspector of the 1st Group of the Military Regions. Most recently, he became a member of the Supreme Military Tribunal (Superior Tribunal Militar) on March 7, 1938 , of which he was a member until November 11, 1940.
