Constance Worth

Constance Worth (born August 19, 1912 in Sydney , † October 18, 1963 in Los Angeles County , California ; actually Jocelyn Howarth ) was an Australian actress .

Life

Constance Worth made her debut as a child actress in the 1920s. In the early 1930s she received, still under the name Jocelyn Howarth, leading roles in Ken G. Hall's films The Squatter's Daughter (1933) and The Silence of Dean Maitland (1934). In 1936 she traveled to the United States, where she played leading roles in the films China Passage and Windjammer (both 1937) for RKO Pictures . In 1945 she played a minor role in the gangster film Jagd auf Dillinger ( Dillinger ). After that, she only appeared in B-movies like Columbia's Crime Doctor and Boston Blackie . In 1949 she withdrew.

In 1938, Worth was married to actor George Brent for a few weeks , and later married screenwriter William A. Pierce . She is not identical to an actress of the same name who appeared in eight silent films between 1919 and 1922.
