Constantin Luck

Constantin Luck (born October 4, 1855 in Düsseldorf , † August 9, 1916 in Bad Nauheim ) was a German photographer and art collector .

From around 1889 to 1915 Constantin Luck ran a “photographic studio” at Viktoriastraße 14, later Viktoriastraße 26, in Düsseldorf. He belonged to the artists' association Malkasten and counted many painters from the Düsseldorf School among the customers of his portrait photography . On November 30, 1895 he married Susanna "Susi" Giwer, who gave birth to their daughter Irmgard. Luck's estate, including his collection of contemporary art, was auctioned in 1916 and 1917. His photo studio was taken over by Anne Winterer in 1917 .
