Constantin Franz-Ulrich Schumacher (born May 8, 1976 in Fălticeni ) is a former Romanian football player and current coach , some of whom are of German descent. Since August 2017 he has been coaching Rapid Bucharest in the Romanian 4th division.

Player career

Constantin Schumacher began his football career at the youth club CSŞ Fălticeni , from where he moved to Foresta Fălticeni for one season in 1992 . After this he moves to the second division club FC Argeş Piteşti , where he plays five seasons. At the end of the first season, the team successful promotion to the Liga I . In 2000 he moved to Rapid Bucharest , where he played four seasons before embarking on a Chinese adventure at Chongqing Qiche . After two years in China, he returned to Romania to Universitatea Craiova . Since the team was relegated in the season, he moved to the Ukraine to Volyn Lutsk . After just a year he returned to Romania, where he played for several clubs.

National team

Schumacher once played for the Romanian national soccer team in the game against Croatia in Timisoara Dan Păltinişanu Stadium .

Coaching career

After the end of his active career, Schumacher worked as a football coach.
