Constructa fountain in Hanover

The Constructa fountain in Hanover is a listed fountain on Wildermuthweg at the confluence with Hildesheimer Straße . The square is an important place to stay and meet, especially for young families with children, in front of the Constructa block of the same name .

The architect Konstanty Gutschow designed the plans for the cast iron water basin in 1962. The artist Theo Blume created the decorations out of enamel : the water trickles out of the middle of the enamelled flowers while the plant is in operation.

Around the beginning of 2016, the well was shut down for more than two years. Since then - in coordination with the historic preservation - restoration work planned and executed. Together with the repair of the sewer pipes and the repair of the pavement around the well shell, the total costs for this were estimated at more than 60,000 euros. After initial delays, city spokesman Dennis Dix , who works in the New Town Hall, announced that the Constructa fountain would be put back into operation for the 2019 season.
