Contracrash is a Metal - band from southern Germany .
history
The band Contracrash was founded in 2004 in Balingen (Germany) and spent their first years recording demos and touring Europe . In September 2009 they released their debut album Goddamn Planet , which caused quite a stir in the scene and was named "Best Hard & Heavy Album" of 2009 by the German Rock and Pop Association.
In mid-2012 Contracrash returned with a new line-up and announced that they were working on a new album. On November 23, 2013 Contracrash took first place in the "Hard Rock" category at the German Rock and Pop Prize .
The concept album "Thy Kingdom Come" was released in 2015 via Rockwerk Records and tells an end-of-time story that was inspired by the painting Pandemonium by John Martin . The artist Eliran Kantor , who has already achieved a high level of popularity through the design of the artwork for bands such as Testament , Iced Earth , Sodom and Hatebreed , took over the artwork for the album. The album received consistently positive reviews.
style
Contracrash play a mixture of modern metal and traditional rock music , which is enhanced by elements of orchestral music . Contracrash call themselves a "Modern Metal Band".
