Conviction is an American drama series . The main role of the series was played by Hayley Atwell . The series was first broadcast on October 3, 2016 on ABC , but it was announced at the beginning of November of the same year that the series would not go beyond the 13 episodes already ordered due to insufficient audience ratings, which was already a factual cancellation at this point corresponded. This was officially confirmed in May 2017.
A German-language first broadcast took place on August 8, 2018 in the late evening program of the VOX station .

The former First Daughter Hayes Morrison, daughter of a US president, who is sometimes prone to more serious offenses , is blackmailed by her well-known prosecutor Conner Wallace into heading the Conviction Integrity Unit instead of being convicted for its offenses. This is a division of the New York County District Attorney composed of attorneys, detectives, and forensic experts who investigate cases of suspected wrongful convictions. The team only has five days to examine each case and prove the innocence of the defendant or convicted person.
