Cook Springs , also known as Cooks Springs or Polk , is an unincorporated area in St. Clair County in the state of Alabama in the United States .

Cook Springs is located in eastern Alabama in the southern United States.

Nearby locations include Chulavista (1 km north), Pell City (3 km east), Wolf Creek (6 km south), Branchville (8 km northwest), and Moody (8 km west). The next larger city is Birmingham, about 23 kilometers to the west, with 212,000 inhabitants .

The place was named after William Proctor Cook, who settled here in 1854.
