Copenhagen International Film Festival
The Copenhagen International Film Festival was one of the largest film festivals in Denmark .
It took place annually in Copenhagen from 2003 to 2007 and merged with the Natfilm -Festival, also taking place in Copenhagen, to form the new CPH PIX film festival , which first took place in April 2009. The Copenhagen International Film Festival specialized in European films and had an international competition. The main prize awarded by a jury was the Golden Swan , which was awarded in the categories of best film, best director, best actress, best actor, best screenplay and best camera. The price for the best film was 50,000 dkr. endowed. A film market for Danish films was held as part of the festival, the Copenhagen Screenings . In addition, seminars were held with international film directors. The main sponsors of the festival included the Danish Ministry of Culture , the City of Copenhagen and the Danish Film Institute .
